To Enter NASA Ames

Visitors will need to go to the Visitor Badging Office to obtain a visitor badge.

The Visitor Badging Office is located at Building 26, which is just at the Main Gate. As you approach the Main Gate, you should be in the right-hand lane. The guard will direct you into the parking lot immediately adjacent to the gate.

Please be sure to allow 15-20 minutes for processing in the NASA Visitor Badging Office. In order to obtain a visitor badge, the Badging Office needs to have received information from your NASA sponsor: name, affiliation, and citizenship status, as well as the date, time, building, and room number of the meeting.

You will need to provide the following:

  1. Valid picture identification (e.g., driver's license).
  2. International visitors will need BOTH a passport and another valid picture identification.
  3. If you plan to drive a car on base, you will need a valid driver's license and the car information (color, make, registration, and the license plate number). International visitors must be escorted to be able to drive on base.

Once you have a visitor badge, approach the main gate and show the guard your visitor badge and valid picture identification for entry into NASA Ames Research Center.
